Save a file using Microsoft Print to PDF 



Use of this guide when a paper printout is not required but retention of the work or activity needs to be kept or memorialized.

  1. Instructions for Microsoft Print to PDF 
     

  2. Launch the program or application you will be using, then open the file, document, or webpage you want to save as a PDF. 
     

  3. Press Ctrl + P or access the Print option (often under the File tab) from the app's menu. 


  4. If the Microsoft Print to PDF option is missing: 


  5. Open the Start menu and search for Turn Windows features on or off. 


  6. Scroll down and check the box for Microsoft Print to PDF. 


  7. Click OK and restart your PC if prompted. 


  8. If the feature is already enabled but not working, disable it, restart your PC, and re-enable it. 

  9.  

  10. In the Printer drop-down menu, select Microsoft Print to PDF. 


  11. Adjust any additional print settings as needed. 


  12. Click Print. 


  13. In the Save Print Output As window, choose the folder where you want to save the PDF. 


  14. Enter a name for the file in the File Name field and click Save.
