
JAILog allows administrators to manage the officers available to be selected. The system allows you to do the following actions outlined below with each point having its own section and list of steps.
- Add a new officer or supervisor
- Used for new employees
- Update an officer
- Used when something was misspelled
- Need to update for any other reason
- Inactivate an officer or supervisor
- Used when an employee leaves
- Used when a code is duplicated
- Activate a deactivated officer or supervisor
- Used when a code is accidentally inactivated
Adding a new officer
Log in as an administrator

You should be able to see the [Administrator] tab at the top. Click on it, and head down to [Officers] and click that

From here you can see all the officers. They are currently redacted for security reasons. Click on the [Create new] link.

In this page you have to add the title [DO, Sgt, etc.] and the officers name and badge. The format currently is [first name] [last name] [#badge] to help prevent duplicates. Click [Create] to add the code

You will be sent back to the Officer list page, and a message should appear on the top right letting you know the code was added.

Update an officer
Log in as an administrator

You should be able to see the [Administrator] tab at the top. Click on it, and head down to [Officers] and click that

From here you can see all the officers. They are currently redacted for security reasons. Look for the code you want to update, codes are listed in alphabetical order. If you don't find the code in the first page, use the [Page Buttons] on the bottom to go to the next page. Once you find the code you want to update, click on "Edit"


In this page you can change the values of the code. Make whatever changes you need and click on [Save].

You will be sent back to the Officer list page, and a message should appear on the top right letting you know the code was updated.

Inactivate an officer or supervisor
Log in as an administrator

You should be able to see the [Administrator] tab at the top. Click on it, and head down to [Officers] and click that

From here you can see all the officers. They are currently redacted for security reasons. Look for the code you want to inactivate, codes are set in alphabetical order. If you don't find the code in the first page, use the [Page Buttons] on the bottom to go to the next page. Once you find the code you want to inactivate, click on "Edit"


In this page you can change the values of the code. Make sure the [Active] is unchecked and click [Save].

You will be sent back to the Officer list page, and a message should appear on the top right letting you know the code was updated.

Activate a deactivated officer or supervisor
Log in as an administrator

You should be able to see the [Administrator] tab at the top. Click on it, and head down to [Officers] and click that

From here you can see all the officers. They are currently redacted for security reasons. At the top there is a toggle that you can click on to load inactive codes called [Show inactive codes], click on that to display inactivated codes.


Look for the code you want to update, codes are listed in alphabetical order. If you don't find the code in the first page, use the [Page Buttons] on the bottom to go to the next page. Once you find the code you want to update, click on "Edit"


In this page you can change the values of the code. To activate the code make sure the [Active] is checked and click [Save].

You will be sent back to the Officer list page, and a message should appear on the top right letting you know the code was updated.
